White River Charters offer slow and relaxing river cruises of the Lower Bann on board MV Kingifisher, a wooden harbour launch built in 1947 by Harland and Wolff in the historic Belfast shipyard. Our home port is Coleraine Harbour. Itineraries include upstream experiences, taking in historic Mount Sandel, sighting grey heron, swans, cormorants and seals. Downstream, we explore the Bann estuary, where NI’s longest river meets the ocean at the Barmouth. Here we may spot seals, harbour porpoise, dolphin and many different species of seabirds within the habitats bearing SAC/SSSI designations in Binevenagh Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
