Wembury is a special place for marine wildlife and boasts some of the best rocky shores and reefs in the country. Wembury Marine Centre is the ideal place to learn about the surrounding area and its wildlife through interactive and informative displays, regular rockpool and snorkel safaris and other marine themed events. Wembury Marine Centre is open seasonally from Easter to the end of September each year.

The Seal Project (Registered Charity 1187703) uses its wildlife survey boat ‘Equinox II’, a Clovic Seaworker 22 to survey and monitor 40km of the South Devon coast. We undertake regular surveys, mostly recording sightings of grey and common seals for identification and disturbance, along with all other wildlife we may be lucky enough to see.

The Chichester Natural History Society, Chi Nats for short, is a friendly group of local people with a shared interest in all aspects of wildlife, who have been studying and recording all branches of natural history for over 50 years. We do this in an entertaining manner and, in cooperation with other like-minded groups, help conserve the flora and fauna of Sussex. Members of the Society share a common interest in natural history and while some are experts in particular wildlife fields, others are newcomers to the subject.
